Misa is a favourite with designers and can be used for drapery, wallcovering and upholstery), with inspiration taken from Tuscan embossed leather book covers of the 18th century (seen in the Bellagio Collection of a contemporary chenille damask design featuring a shaded satin ground with 'sparkly' effect fancy yarns) to the petticoat Elizabeth 1st wears in a 16th century portrait at Hardwick Hall; (seen in the Lampas Elizabeth Collection, which incidentally adorns one of the London Fabric Company showroom walls and features flowers, birds and elements depicting the influence and culture of Elizabethan England).
