Examples in the Royal Collection Savigny Silks include a pretty floral trail design, embroidered on a pure silk ground and based on an 18th century Rococo silk; an exquisite pure silk embroidery on a silk jacquard ground inspired by 18th century Portuguese silk damasks; a refined 'flower and basket' pattern, based on an embellished silk brocade in the Windsor archive, richly printed on a pure silk ground cloth; a classical French 18th century pattern woven in a lampas technique for a refined and elegant look.
The Royal Collection Cabochon Weaves contains richly coloured and intricately patterned upholstery weaves in silk, cotton and viscose velvet qualities, and including a wonderfully luxurious pure mohair velvet with a subtle embossed pattern. Examples in the Royal Collection Cabochon Weaves include a lustrous, small scale repeating fleur de lys patterned velvet inspired by an original Napoleonic hanging; an elegantly striped cut velvet with a delicate floral trail interwoven, inspired by a silk cushion in the Windsor archive; an exquisite silk velvet with an intricately worked pattern inspired by a fabric originally used in Windsor Castle; a small scale repeating pattern in an opulent cut velvet with a matt/sheen effect inspired by a heavily embellished silk cushion in the Windsor archive.
The Royal Collection Augusta Fabric featuring a regal collection of sumptuous velvets with deep colours and wonderfully soft texture and handle including a jacquard weave cut velvet inspired by a fragment found in the archives at Windsor Castle; a piece-dyed two tone cut velvet weave inspired by an enamel design in Buckingham Palace; a magnificent jacquard silk velvet on a dyed ground, inspired by the 'Waterloo Flowered Satin', originally in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle and discovered in the archive at Windsor; a jacquard cut velvet inspired by an ornate sculptured pelmet from the archives at Windsor Castle; a jacquard cut velvet inspired by a 19th century baroque pattern in the State Dining Room at Windsor Castle and a cut velvet inspired by a formal silk damask design originally in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.
